This is a (test)page for the book I'm illustrating.
I did it directly in Acryl, without really drawing the whole thing.
Maybe it needs some pencil now, to finsih it up ... but that's for later.
... here's one with pencil and photoshop shadow. (this one's a scan)
it should have needed more inbetweens, but Christmas came quite suddenly
but still ... pretty happy with the result.
this little guy is gonna star in my short schristmas movie
(he's gonna put the sweater on, which has "Merry christmas and a happy new year" on it)
Last one is the newest, but there's something wrong with the head ...
I was watching a movie (This is England) when I suddenly got the urge to draw a little background (slightly inspired on a room which appeared in the movie (which is a real great movie by the way))
This is the result ... not really gonna do anything with it but it came out pretty nice I think.

this is a drawing for a childrens book I'm working on, I was designing the little girl from the story ... but she changed already ...

ers seemed like a logical progression. I now reflect on it that as a good decision, but as with anything, the town is not free of flaws. The remoteness of Blacksburg's location works two fold. Its isolation from any large town or city renders it an outdoor recreational playground, but also results in a severe lacking in things such as the arts and live music scenes. All is not lost in this cause though, as we do have a few local gems. Not to mention a few key cities that are frequently a worth while, if not adventurous, road trip away. After procrastinating for these past two and half years, I am now armed with a digital camera and laptop, with the intention of documenting some of my experiences around Blacksburg and wherever else my travels take me. So, here it is...

There's a sort of competition "Vreemde Vogels" (Weird birds) at which I wanted to participate but I don't really have much inspiration for it ... which sucks
I'm working at Janssen Pharmaceutica for the moment (IT job) and when I have nothing, or not much, to do I draw passing people and stuff ...
I have to make a short film the upcoming year
and I'm gonna try to make this little guy as a puppet ...
not gonna tell anything about the story yet, but here's the star ... maybe:
For the moment I'm working at Beast Animation on the 70 min feature film "Panique au village" (a town called panic) from Vincent Patar and Stéphane Aubier (Pic Pic & André). It's is going to air in 2009.
I'm painting some of the figures. Very fun to actually finish the characters :)
